Shellie L. Guin manages the firm's Kansas City office. She practices in the areas of labor and employment law, education law, insurance defense and litigation. Shellie provides general advice and counsel to both private and public sector clients concerning personnel matters, contract negotiations, and general liability and litigation issues. Shellie also advises public and private employers on employment matters such as personnel management, termination, wage and hour issues, discrimination claims, employee leave, contracts and restrictive covenants. She has successfully defended public and private sector clients against a variety of claims in both state and federal court. Shellie is an accomplished speaker with extensive experience conducting training and seminars on a wide variety of employment law topics, such as employee evaluation and termination, sexual harassment, discrimination, diversity issues, Section 504, and ADA. She also has served as an adjunct professor for graduate level education law courses.
